Understanding the role
Project management, delivery and technical support associated with assigned projects specializing in the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and validation of environmental monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Execute the responsibilities of a company representative according to the required lawful and ethical standards.
- Delivery of assigned tasks associated with system installations from receipt of order to final handover to the customer.
- Support the operations support team with coordinating, planning, and allocation of site visits.
- Supporting the commercial team in calculating, preparation and issue of quotations and proposals.
- Arrange and participate in divisional meetings, conferences, and project meetings.
- Plan, coordinate and (where necessary) deliver technical training for staff.
- Assist with customer liaison for technical system queries.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.

- To be responsible for the delivery of assigned tasks associated with current and ongoing system installation contracts as related to the day-to-day business.
- To carry out work at FMS client sites, to install, test, commission and validate environmental monitoring systems and components and formally hand over the system to the end-user client.
- To diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems on environmental monitoring systems and components to take action to rectify failures and non-conformances.
- Generate and maintain project documentation, drawings and contract communications and keep accurate and current information collated in the required format within the project files.
- Play an active role in maintaining and improving the reputation of the FMS brand name and establishing long term client relationships.
- To assist in the sales effort to obtain sales leads and help to secure future installation projects and service contracts.
- Assist the service and calibration department when required and as appropriate.
- Assist and contribute to the research and development of components and systems.
- Client site assessment visits as appropriate and as required.

Understanding the role
To carry out test service and calibration activities on environmental monitoring systems and equipment at FMS’s client sites and act as technical support for customers and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Execute the responsibilities of a company representative according to the required lawful and ethical standards.
- Support the operations support team with Coordinating, planning, and allocation of site test visits.
- Supporting the commercial team in calculating, preparation and issue of quotations.

- To carry out work at FMS client sites, to service, test and calibrate environmental monitoring systems and components to prove accuracy of performance and continued effectiveness.
- To carry out remedial repairs on environmental monitoring systems and components to rectify failures and non-conformances.
- To complete all necessary documentation and reports on completion of testing, remedial and call out works and ensure that the client is in receipt of the required calibration certificates upon completion of the visit and before leaving the site.
- Play an active role in maintaining and improving the reputation of the FMS brand name and establishing long term client relationships.

Role: Technical Support Engineer
Reporting to: Technical Lead Integration and Install
Based at: FMS Malvern Office
Job Purpose:
To provide the integration and service teams (business delivery team) and customers with technical support associated with the design or upgrade of critical monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Generation of documentation associated with system installations from receipt of order to final handover to the customer and subsequent internal handover to the service care team.
- Delivery of assigned tasks associated with system installations from receipt of order to final handover to the customer.
- Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing with customers, colleagues and suppliers during the design process, interpreting and responding to verbal or written instructions.
- Assist and contribute with the research and development of components and systems.
- Client site assessment visits as appropriate and as required.
- Supporting the commercial team in the calculation, preparation and issue of quotations and proposals.
Detailed tasks:
The Technical Support Engineer may perform many of the following tasks:
- Review the customer order against our technical submission
- Generate system drawings: wiring diagrams, panel drawings, system schematic drawings
- Generate bill of materials for the procurement of all components required for the system
- Generate validation documentation for review such as Functional Design Specification, Configuration Statement (for bespoke software installation), Installation / Operational Qualification documentation

Understanding the role
To work with the Commercial Director to achieve and exceed sales targets for critical monitoring and alarm system (FMS).
To promote, demonstrate and sell our exciting new product, the unique TSI BioTrak real-time viable particle counter for aseptic manufacturing.
To develop and maintain customer relationships. This is very much an “on the road” role, visiting customers and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact to achieve agreed business aims/targets
- To implement marketing strategy and contribute towards the continued development of the strategy in line with business and market requirements
- To meet with customers to assess their requirements and be familiar with the legislative and quality standard requirements for monitoring systems and equipment, such as ISO 14644-1/2
- To demonstrate the FMS critical monitoring and alarm system and the BioTrak real-time viable particle counter
- To liaise with the Integration & Installation engineers on receipt of a system order for an effective hand-over to the team who will deliver the project
- To support and maintain contact with customers post-delivery of system and/or equipment to ensure their satisfaction with the product(s) and the services the company offers
- To identify and establish new business opportunities
- To work with the Commercial Team and Technical Engineers to identify potential new products
Detailed Tasks
The post holder will be required to perform many of the following tasks:
- Follow-up on external and internal sales leads/opportunities
- Develop new opportunities
- Visit customer offices and sites to ascertain requirements
- Prepare detailed briefs on customer requirements for monitoring systems for the generation of proposals
- Prepare and issue proposals (quotations) for the BioTrak real-time particle counter using our CRM system (Simpro)
- Handover briefing to Integration & Install team on new system orders
- Use our CRM (Simpro) to maintain sales opportunities and provide pipeline forecasting for the Commercial Director
- Demonstrate the BioTrak real-time viable particle counter to potential customers
- Demonstrate the FMS monitoring system
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
- Establish and maintain relationships with TSI, the manufacturer of the BioTrak real-time viable particle counter and the FMS software suite

Understanding the role
To maintain the quality management system to ensure it complies with ISO9001:2015 and to assist the Senior Engineer – Service Care, to maintain our UKAS accreditation.
To oversee and monitor the FMS health and safety systems to ensure continued compliance with legislative requirements, adherence to the FMS Health and Safety policy, and ongoing improvement in all health and safety matters.
To administer and monitor our Learning Management System (LMS).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To provide leadership, streamlining and maintenance of the ISO9001:2015 Quality Management system to ensure relevance with the standard and the business
- To maintain ongoing familiarization with ISO 9001:2015 and UKAS 17025 standards
- To implement the company quality manual requirements across all areas of the business in tandem with the operational team
- To measure performance against established standards and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- To offer guidance and support to all staff on the Quality Management system
- To liaise with accreditation bodies, such as BSI, and to lead on both external and internal audits
- To provide leadership on the HSE systems and accreditations in the office and on-site
